If you got problems getting into orbit, I feel sorry for you. I got 99 boosters and a quick save is not an issue. #welcomenoobs #smellslikeyougaveup #quitter #moarboosters #getoverit #usedtobeonlyonesizeofpartsungreatful
Seldom do you see people with this much talent in KSP. He just DOES, KSP.
NO BUT YOU ALL NEED TO UNDERSTAND HOW FUNNY THIS IS THEYRE LITERALLY FILLING A ROBOT WITH BULLETS, LIKE BULLETS THAT YOU FIRE FROM A GUN. NOW NORMALLY FIRING A GUN TRIGGERS THE BULLET TO EXPLODE CREATING A PRESSURE THAT CAUSES THE TIP OF THE BULLET TO BE FORCED OUT OF THE BARREL AT A HIGH SPEED.
WHaT CAVE JOHNSON’S TURRET’S DO IS LOAD A TON OF FUCKING BULLETS INTO THE CASE OF THE SENTRY LIKE IT”S A GODDAMN GUMBALL MACHINE AND THEN USE A FUcKIN SPRING LOADED PISTON TO FIRE IT THAT IS SO UNNECESSARY AND INEFFECTIVE LIKE NO WONDER CHELL CAN RESIST SO MANY BULLETS THE LIKELIHOOD ITD CAUSE ANYTHING MORE THAN A BAD BRUISE IS LIKE ONE IN A HUNDRED
but it’s 65% more bullet per bullet
After searching for other asteroids an interesting one on a solar orbit was identified. But it was suspected to be a bigger one.
The kerbal engineers invented a new and bigger asteroid tug and put it atop of the largest rocket ever built.
After burning unbelievably huge amounts of fuel Derbin managed to reach the new asteroid - it was bigger than expected!
Thanks to the genius Werher von Kerman (the chief engineer) the four remote gyroscope units placed at different locations on the asteroid’s surface worked fantastically and helped turning the big rock into the desired directions.
But being ready to move the rock Derbin realized that the hughe amount of fuel would be good for a delta-v of only 287 m/s - the asteroid was too heavy!
How did you monkey those nuclear engines like that? Mine never attach correctly and tilts. Please tell me how to properly use the decupler for those engines to stage right against the quadcupler.
I can imagine it would be hard for Crona to enjoy treats without Ragnarok demanding he gets some as well.
Wait wait. Crona doesn’t have any scoops. Crona is so flat chested.
With the captured asteroid in an elliptical and difficult orbit, I wanted to put it into a nice circular orbit for easy access. Asteroids are very difficult to maneuver, so I devised a system to make them relatively easy to “fly.”
The mothership carries four RCS tugs. I’ve used these little things for station assembly before and just replaced one of the ends of the tug with an anchor. Each of the tugs deploy and land at four “cardinal directions” on the asteroid. With the combined SAS and RCS power, it’s very easy to rotate in place. Finally, for forward thrust, the mothership anchors to the asteroid perpendicular to the tugs.
It’s still very wobbly and imprecise to fly, but this is significantly easier than what I had before in a single small ship on the surface. Plus this is way cooler and I love finding uses for these little remote control tugs.
The asteroid is now in a nice circular orbit with zero inclination at 1.785 thousand kilometers above Kerbin.
I really like your tugs idea!! So much more control Could you flip your nuclear engines and make them pullers? I think that could help with your stability.
Also, are you able to control each tug from the mother-ship? Is that via remote control mod?
More awesome pics!
